Work with Enestee

Sessional counselling opportunities for experienced local counsellors

Enestee is building a trusted bank of experienced, professionally trained local counsellors to support our growing counselling and mental wellbeing practice across Flintshire and North East Wales.

We are interested in hearing from counsellors who are already confident in their practice, committed to ethical client work and attracted to the idea of receiving suitable referrals through a credible local practice.

Enestee is not a trainee-led or high-volume counselling model. Our aim is to create thoughtful, professional counselling pathways for clients, while offering counsellors a clear and values-led way to work with a growing local practice.

Why Enestee is building a sessional counsellor bank

More people are looking for counselling, but finding the right support can feel confusing.

Many clients do not know what type of counsellor they need, what approach may suit them, or how to judge suitability from a profile alone.

Enestee’s Discovery process helps us understand what has brought a client to counselling, what kind of support may be most suitable, and which counsellor may be the right fit.

To do this well, we are building a trusted team of experienced local counsellors with different strengths, styles and areas of practice.

Who this opportunity is for

This opportunity may suit you if you are an experienced counsellor who:

  • is experienced (SCoPEd Column B)

  • works ethically and within your competence

  • has appropriate supervision in place

  • is confident working independently

  • values thoughtful client matching

  • is interested in local face-to-face counselling

  • would welcome suitable referrals without constant self-marketing

  • wants to be associated with a credible, community-minded local practice

  • understands the importance of boundaries, confidentiality and professional standards

We are especially interested in counsellors based in or around Flintshire, Deeside, Holywell, Mold, Wrexham, Denbighshire and the wider North East Wales area. Ideally you will take clients in-person, but we do also have rooms available to rent.

What Enestee offers counsellors

Working with Enestee may offer:

  • suitable client referrals through Enestee’s Discovery process

  • association with a credible local counselling and wellbeing practice

  • a practice identity that is professional, ethical and community-facing

  • opportunities linked to local counselling, workplace wellbeing and community partnerships

  • reduced pressure to constantly market yourself

  • clear professional arrangements

  • supportive working relationships

  • the possibility of using local counselling spaces where appropriate

  • involvement in a growing regional wellbeing model

This is not about absorbing counsellors into a faceless platform. Enestee is local, values-led and focused on building trusted relationships between clients, counsellors, organisations and communities.

What we look for

Enestee is selective about who we work with.

We are looking for counsellors who bring professionalism, warmth, maturity and sound judgement to their client work.

You should be able to evidence:

  • recognised counselling or psychotherapy training

  • appropriate professional membership or registration

  • professional indemnity insurance

  • regular clinical supervision

  • relevant experience

  • commitment to ethical practice

  • willingness to work within Enestee’s referral and practice arrangements

  • openness to local, face-to-face work where appropriate

We are not currently building a trainee placement model. Enestee’s client offer is based on experienced, professionally trained counsellors.

How referrals work

Clients usually come to Enestee through an enquiry or referral route.

Our Discovery process helps us understand the client’s needs, preferences, practical circumstances and any relevant safety considerations.

Where counselling with Enestee appears suitable, we recommend a counsellor from our trusted sessional counselling team.

Matching is based on suitability, not simply availability. We consider the client’s needs, the counsellor’s experience, location, availability, modality and any relevant preferences.

The aim is to create a clearer and more supported route into counselling for clients, while helping counsellors receive referrals that are better aligned with their practice.

Local face-to-face counselling

Enestee’s primary focus is local, face-to-face counselling in Flintshire and the surrounding area.

Online or telephone counselling may also be appropriate in some circumstances, but our developing practice model is rooted in local presence.

We believe local counselling matters. Clients often value support that feels connected to their area, accessible in person and grounded in real community understanding.

Professional identity and standards

Counsellors working with Enestee remain responsible for their own professional practice, ethics, competence, supervision and insurance.

At the same time, Enestee has a responsibility to protect the quality and credibility of the practice.

This means we will agree clear working arrangements covering referrals, communication, confidentiality, safeguarding, data protection, fees, cancellation arrangements, use of rooms, client boundaries and expectations.

The aim is to create a professional structure that feels clear, respectful and workable for everyone involved

A local practice with wider ambition

Enestee is developing as a counselling and mental wellbeing practice with three connected routes:

  • counselling for individuals

  • wellbeing support for workplaces

  • community wellbeing partnerships

This creates opportunities for counsellors who are interested in being part of a broader local wellbeing model, not just receiving isolated referrals.

As Enestee grows, we aim to build trusted counselling pathways beyond Flintshire and North East Wales, supported by experienced local practitioners and strong community relationships.
