Community wellbeing partnerships

Working with local organisations to support mental wellbeing across North East Wales

Enestee is committed to improving access to meaningful mental wellbeing support across Flintshire and North East Wales.

Alongside counselling and workplace wellbeing, we work with local organisations, clubs, community groups and services that share our commitment to supporting people in a practical, ethical and human way.

Our community work is about building trusted local relationships. We want Enestee to be a credible wellbeing partner that local people, organisations and businesses can recognise, trust and engage with.

Why community matters to Enestee

Mental wellbeing is not only shaped in therapy rooms. It is affected by where people live, work, train, volunteer, study, compete, socialise and belong.

Local clubs, community groups and organisations often see people at important moments in their lives. They may notice stress, pressure, isolation, grief, anxiety, trauma, burnout or confidence issues long before someone reaches out for counselling.

Enestee’s community work is designed to help bridge that gap.

We want to support community settings with credible wellbeing input, practical resources and clear routes into professional support where appropriate.

What community partnership can look like

Every partnership will look different, because every organisation and community is different.

Enestee community partnership work may include:

  • wellbeing partner arrangements

  • mental wellbeing education

  • signposting and support pathways

  • access to counselling routes through Enestee

  • wellbeing resources for members, staff or volunteers

  • support for coaches, managers or community leaders

  • trauma, stress and anxiety awareness

  • wellbeing input for clubs, groups or local projects

  • practical conversations about how to support people safely

The aim is not to turn community groups into counselling services. It is to help them feel better equipped, better connected and better supported.

Our partnership with Deeside Dragons Ice Hockey Club

Enestee is proud to be the Wellbeing Partner of Deeside Dragons Ice Hockey Club.

This partnership reflects our belief that sport and community can play an important role in mental wellbeing. Ice hockey is demanding, fast-paced and team-focused. Players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters can all experience pressure, challenge, commitment and emotional highs and lows.

As Wellbeing Partner, Enestee’s role is to support the wider wellbeing culture around the club. This may include practical wellbeing input, signposting, resources and clear routes into support where appropriate.

The partnership also reflects what Enestee wants to build more widely across North East Wales: trusted local relationships that help people access meaningful support before difficulties become more serious.

Supporting clubs, groups and local organisations

Community wellbeing support may be particularly useful for:

  • sports clubs

  • youth organisations

  • men’s groups

  • charities

  • voluntary sector organisations

  • local businesses with community links

  • education or training providers

  • community centres

  • social enterprises

  • local projects supporting vulnerable groups

These organisations are often deeply trusted by the people they serve.

Enestee can add professional wellbeing knowledge, counselling pathways and practical resources to strengthen that support.

A local, ethical and professional approach

Enestee’s community work is grounded in clear boundaries.

We do not expect clubs, employers or community leaders to become therapists. We do not encourage people to manage risk beyond their role. We do not offer superficial wellbeing messaging that sounds good but leaves people unsupported.

Instead, our approach is:

  • local — rooted in Flintshire and North East Wales

  • ethical — clear about boundaries, confidentiality and safeguarding

  • professional — informed by counselling, psychotherapy and workplace experience

  • practical — focused on real people and real settings

  • human — warm, respectful and accessible

How Enestee can add value

Enestee can add value to community partners by helping them:

  • understand mental wellbeing issues more clearly

  • create simple support and signposting pathways

  • access professional counselling routes where appropriate

  • develop wellbeing resources for members or participants

  • support volunteers, coaches or leaders with confidence

  • respond more thoughtfully to stress, anxiety, trauma or overwhelm

  • show a visible commitment to wellbeing

  • build trust with their local community

This is especially important in settings where people may not naturally seek formal counselling, but may respond well to trusted local support.
