Counsellor & Clinical Practice Partner

About Steph Parsley

At Enestee, we believe therapy should feel safe, professional and human. My approach reflects this: offering a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can explore what is happening in your life at your own pace.

You may be finding that anxiety, worry or low mood are starting to take up more space in your life. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, stuck in difficult thoughts, uncertain about a relationship, or questioning parts of yourself o your direction in life. You might notice your mind constantly analysing situations or replaying conversations long after they have happened.

I am an integrative counsellor based at Enestee in Holywell, North Wales, working with adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I have a particular interest in supporting people with anxiety, including intrusive thoughts, ongoing worry and patterns of thinking that can feel difficult to manage or switch off from.

My professional experience includes providing counselling within NHS Occupational Health to NHS staff, alongside work within charitable organisations. I have supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-harm, stress, relationship difficulties, and challenges relating to food and body image.

As part of Enestee, I work within a practice that places strong importance on ethical, thoughtful and personalised mental wellbeing support. My approach is integrative and guided by you. I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches, allowing our work together to be shaped around your individual needs, experiences and goals.

Together, we may explore how past experiences continue to influence the present, look at patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and develop a deeper understanding of what may be contributing to your current difficulties. Where helpful, I may also introduce practical coping strategies to support you between sessions, while allowing space for reflection, self-awareness and longer-term change.

I place strong importance on the therapeutic relationship and on creating an environment where you feel safe, respected and genuinely heard. This fits closely with Enestee’s wider values: providing counselling and wellbeing support that is compassionate, credible and grounded in real human connection.

I understand that starting therapy can take courage, especially when talking about experiences that may feel painful, confusing or overwhelming. My aim is to offer a professional, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel supported throughout the process.
