Trusted to Help
I came to Nigel after going to a few therapists who weren't the right fit for me and instantly felt a connection. He is warm and approachable, and it really feels like I can bring up anything to him without judgment. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a space to explore. He has been flexible with my chaotic schedule, and I always feel like a weight has been lifted after our sessions. Over time, I've seen real progress in my well-being and my ability to manage challenges effectively, and I find myself looking forward to our next session :)

I have been plagued with depression for many years. It has worsened as time has passed. I am resistant to other forms of treatment, including medication. It was therefore beneficial to talk to somebody who listened, advised and understood my condition.

Friendly and thorough. Great tactful suggestions without judgement.

Real Stories of Transformation and Recovery
Finding Calm After Years of Anxiety
For years, Sarah lived with a constant sense of worry that never really left her. Even simple things — like answering the phone or making a decision — became overwhelming. She described it as being “on edge all the time.” Through counselling, she learned to understand the underlying beliefs that fed her anxiety and how past experiences had shaped her reactions. Over time, she developed tools to ground herself and reframe her thoughts. As her sessions progressed, she noticed small but powerful changes — sleeping better, feeling more confident, and finally trusting herself again. Sarah says counselling helped her “feel like me for the first time in years.”

Healing from a Difficult Relationship
Laura had recently left a controlling relationship and was struggling with guilt, confusion, and a loss of self-esteem. Counselling provided a safe space to talk openly — something she hadn’t been able to do for years. Gradually, she began to rebuild her sense of identity and recognise the emotional patterns that kept her stuck. Together, we explored healthy boundaries and ways to reconnect with her interests and friendships. By the end of our work, Laura described feeling “lighter and stronger,” ready to trust herself and others again.

Releasing the Past with The Rewind Therapy
James came for help after a traumatic car accident that had left him unable to drive or even be a passenger without panic attacks. Talking about it brought tears and physical tension. The Rewind Therapy allowed him to safely process the memory without reliving the distress. In just a few sessions, the emotional intensity began to fade. James found he could recall the event without the same physical reaction — his heartbeat steady, his breathing calm. A few weeks later, he was able to sit in a car again and, eventually, drive short distances. “It doesn’t feel like it controls me anymore,” he shared.
